ELIZABETH OGLE KNIPE

Mrs. Elizabeth Knipe died Thursday morning about 9 o’clock at her home one and a half miles south east of Mellott. She had been in her usual health until the Sunday before when she suffered a stroke of paralysis and slowly sunk away until the end. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Rebecca Ogle and was born 66 years ago one mile west of Newtown. She had lived on the farm where she died for 45 years and has been a member of the North Christian Church at Mellott almost 40 years. She is survived by two sons, Alonzo of Chicago and Edgar at home; two brothers, John Ogle who made his home with her and George Ogle of West Lebanon and one sister, Mrs. Mary Shaffer of Newtown. The funeral was conducted at the home Sunday afternoon by Rev. Sando of Wingate after which she was laid to rest at Newtown. - kbz
